Starting from one of the most famous sites in Greece, the Acropolis, an incredible landmark for the architectural mastery put in to its construction, a perfect represetation of the Golden Age of Athens. Including the Erechtheion (female statues of the Karyatides or Maidens dedicated to the godess Athena and god Poseidon), the Temple of Athena Nike and Propylaea. You will also see up close the Parthenon in all of its overwhelming glory and see the theatre of Herodus Atticus, the theatre of Dionysos and Pedion tou Areos.
Afterwards we shall visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Gate and the Panathinaic Stadium, the setting of the Olympic Games' revival in 1896. Visit the astonishing New Acropolis Museum or the no less astounding National Archaeological Museum. You will also see the Evzones, guards in traditional uniforms, stationed outside of the Greek Parliament (the building which was previously used as the royal residence of former king of Greece Otto of Bavaria) where the Monument of the Unknown Soldier stands and witness the changing of the guard. We will also visit the Athenian Trilogy of Culture, which consists of three beautiful neoclassical architectural style buildings, the University of Athens, the Academy and the National Library, furthermore we shall visit the Syntagma Square (Constitution Square), the Lycabettus hill from where you can admire the city from above. A drive through the streets of modern Athens is as interesting, visiting the Hermou street (a famous shopping district) and the Old city of Plaka for a traditionaly authentic experience.
In addition to all the amazing locations above, if time allows there are many other wonderfull places around Athens to visit such as the Temple of Hephestus, Kerameikos, the Ancient Agora and Socrates' prison.
