The tour begins with a drive along the wonderful scene of the coastal road, which offers a great view of the Saronic Gulf while passing by some of Athens' suburbs such as Glyfada,Vouliagmeni and others. As we get closer to Cape Sounion, it will seem like it immerges out of the sea.

There you will visit the 5th century B.C. Temple dedicated to the god Poseidon and you will witness one of the most breathtaking views, on a clear day it is possible to see at least 7 islands. The cliff is a 60 metre (197 feet) drop to the sea. The view of the rest of the mainland and islands around is incredible, the island Aigina with a backround of the Peloponnese's mountains makes for a stunning image. As for the surviving Doric style columns, their beauty as inspired many artists over the years, including Lord Byron who actually carved his name on one of the columns.
