We will leave the center of Athens for a pleasant excursion to the "Riviera of Attica". As we take a road with beaches, palm trees and magnificent views of the Saronic Gulf, we pass through some of the most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza, Lagonisi and Anavyssos).
Our first stop is located in the lake of Vouliagmeni. The scenery is breathtaking. The lake is about 50 centimeters above sea level and is constantly overflowing and replenished by the hot springs beneath it. The mineral and brackish waters of the lake have many healing properties.
The tour continues towards the southernmost point of the entire peninsula, Cape Sounio. The ancient writer and geographer Pausanias mentions Cape Sounio at the beginning of the description of Greece as a "sacred cape of the Athenians". Your guide will tell you the history and mythology of this unique site with great strategic and religious significance in antiquity. You will visit the impressive ancient Greek Temple of Poseidon, god of the sea in mythology, built from the edge of the rock and enjoy stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
